Cities are vibrant structures which have been shaped by politics, society, and history and are full of contrasts and architectonic projections. How cities develop is something which Sergei Tchoban continually interrogates anew – by incessantly drawing them. His pictures take you on a visionary and fantastical journey into the world of architecture.
Visions / Projections at Die Raumgalerie shows a cross-section of the artist´s drawings, enabling a very personal look at his visions, fantasies, and projections of the city with its abundance of diverse, frequently contrast-rich architecture, its grown structures, and intertwining of modern, technological, and ecological forms.
The exhibition opening will include a presentation and discussion of „30:70 – Architektur als Balanceakt“ (’30:70 – Architecture as Balancing Act’; DOM Publishers), the new book by Sergei Tchoban and Vladimir Sedov.
The artist will be present.
